Rescue Ready: ORRCA’s 2026/27 Training Dates Now Live
Every rescue starts with someone willing, and trained, to act.
With marine mammal incidents on the rise across the east coast of Australia, the need for skilled, confident responders has never been greater. From entangled humpback whales to stranded dolphins, our ORRCA volunteers are on the frontline, responding to thousands of calls every year.
Now, you can be part of that response.
ORRCA’s nationally recognised training program equips everyday people with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely respond to marine mammal incidents.
You'll gain confidence, skills and knowledge in:
- Marine mammal rescue techniques
- Safe response protocols
- Incident assessment and coordination
- Animal handling and welfare
- Working in challenging coastal environments
This is hands-on, real-world training, delivered by experienced responders who know what it takes when every second counts.
