Privacy Policy

ORRCA respects your right to privacy. We have created this privacy statement to disclose our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Visitors to the ORRCA web site are anonymous. Should you disclose your e-mail address or other personal information, we will not share it with third parties or with the ORRCA membership, and you will not receive promotional mailings as a result.

If you are a member of the ORRCA Rescue Team, we need to share basic personal information with your fellow pod members, for logistical purposes during a rescue operation. This is limited to your name, town, contact number(s) and e-mail address, and is not shared with ORRCA members outside of your own local pod. Pods typically consist of five to fifteen members.

Except within a pod as noted above, ORRCA does not give out contact numbers or e-mail addresses of its members. Other personal information is not given out in any circumstances.

Information that you provide in membership applications, membership renewal applications and workshop applications is kept in a secure manner, accessible only to ORRCA office bearers who have a need for it - for example the Membership Secretary or Treasurer. You can get a copy of all the information we hold on you by contacting the Membership Secretary.

If you fill out an on-line form and give us personal details such as address and phone number, we are able to deposit this information securely on your own computer, so that next time your fill in an ORRCA form you will not have to re-type all that information. We do this only if you give us explicit permission in advance, and purely as a service to you. (Should you be using someone else's computer to fill in the form, we suggest you do not give us that permission.)

We encourage you to contact us at any time should you have any privacy concerns or questions.
